hello i think it should be pretty easy to use current functionality and call thingspeak with http get. then you can use http get in esphome to call thingspeak. if not then you can use thingspeak but you cannot send mqtt message to home assistant and have to use api. but you can use mqtt + api like you suggested. in this version i also implemented the possibility of subscribing the esphome device to the server and performing actions when receiving specific payloads (in my case, switching on a pump). if this concerns sensors or switches try making them ‘internal’ or assign a proper topic that thingspeak understands. added: i use http get to insert my command payloads to thingspeak which the esp is subscribed to. esphome will automatically send their measurements and status at nonsense topics to thingspeak which will trigger a disconnect. i suggest to use the new thingspeak server as the old is or will be deprecated (switch to mqtt3.thingspeak.com) i just keep on getting tcp disconnected, nothing pops up in wireshark.

the main intention of this project is to introduce various iot tools and integrate them to build a real-time project. mqtt protocol is used for data transmission, and ifttt sends the data to thingspeak mqtt broker though webhook url. arduino ide is used to program the esp32 wifi module. the format is provided below. this url is used as the webhook in the ifttt applet. in mqtt protocol, writing and reading the data are referred to as publishing and subscribing. the mqtt of thingspeak sends the data to the esp32 client after sending the command.

select the option related to the type of phrase you wish to say. copy the above thingspeak write url with the data (ex:’1l1’ used in the program code as appliance identifier) you wish to send and paste it in the url column and select the content type as shown below. the mqtt of thingspeak sends the data to the esp32 client as soon as it receives the data/command. arduino the program code is built with arduino ide. this is available from the below link. data transfer/receive through mqtt protocol is done in terms of publishing and subscribing to a topic. to receive this data in real-time, a ‘callback’ function is used to collect the data. the topic format in thingspeak broker is shown below, to publish a message to a topic, the below instruction is used.

the thingspeak integrations makes home assistant communicate with the thingspeak api. for now, it records exactly one entity at once, which is great for hi everyone, i need your help for a configuration.i have a device that sends some data to thingspeak and i would like to read this data and display it consumo ee – home assistant on thingspeak – thingspeak is the open iot platform with matlab analytics., thingspeak to website, thingspeak to website, esphome thingspeak, home assistant rest, thingspeak projects.

my idea is to use esphome to implement my sensors and use home assistant as a supervisor, but i want that my sensors is able to works, and store hi, is there a current way of connecting to thingspeak to read data, not write? i got my home-made component sending data to thingspeak atm compare home-assistant.io vs thingspeak and find out what’s different, what people are saying, and what are their alternatives., home assistant call rest api, home assistant api, home assistant rest api authentication, home assistant influxdb, thingspeak an api and web service for the internet of things, home assistant restful sensor example, thingspeak download, home assistant sensor multiple values, home assistant xml sensor, home assistant json payload.
