iot project using blynk app

in this iot project, i have shown how to make iot-based smart home automation using multiple esp32 nodemcu esp8266 networks to control all the home appliances from the switches & blynk iot app. so if you follow all the steps, you can easily make this iot project just by using esp32 or nodemcu and relay module. now if you have multiple rooms, then you can use either esp32 or nodemcu for each room and then repeat the same circuit for each room. if you use esp32 then you can use either a 4-channel or 8-channel relay module, but for the nodemcu you have to use the 4-channel relay module. all microcontrollers will connect to the blynk server using the same authenticate token. for this smart house project, i have used the blynk iot cloud free plan. although, i have selected esp32 for creating the template but you can also use this template for esp8266, as i will use virtual pins for the datastreams. here i will control 8 relays, so i have created 8 datastreams to control 8 relays.

then in the device info tab, you will get the blynk auth token, template id, and device name. for each nodemcu or esp32, you have to change the virtual pins in the code. and for the nodemcu, virtual pins will be v5, v6, v7, v8. install the blynk iot app from google play store or app store. you also use multiple smartphones to control the appliances with blynk iot app. for that, you have to log in same blynk account from all the smartphones. the nodemcu or esp32 will check for the wifi after every 2 seconds. also if you have any queries please write in the comment section.

i can browse through them and pick the application that i’d like to play with now. the information includes the identity of the blynk server that the app is connected to. think of it as a password that allows my arduino app (the sketch running on the arduino) to talk to your blynk application on your phone via the blynk cloud server. within the blynk app, your choice of device has an impact on the number of digital, analog, and virtual pins that you will be able to use. as you can see in the pinout documentation, the arduino nano 33 iot has a total of 21 digital pins.

the advantage of digital or analog pins is that you can control your device pins without custom coding. you can simply use the blynk driver, which is essentially a firmware that connects the blynk application with your tagged device, and without any programming, you’ll be able to target digital pins. you need to provide is the authentication token e-mailed to you a bit earlier when you created the app on the blynk application and the credentials for your network. this function will use your the authentication token and the credentials for your network to connect your arduino to the public blynk server. install the blynk app, create an account5. replace the arduino nano 33 iot with an esp328.
